We know—it’s a shocking question. But we ask it for a reason.
Because when a private school allegedly allows students to be filmed in compromising situations…When administrators allegedly suppress reports of that misconduct to protect their own careers…When the response to a parent’s concern is “we handled it internally”…And when the person responsible for that decision quietly moves on to a Head of School role at another institution…
You start to wonder:What exactly is Indian Creek School protecting?Whose image matters more than a child’s safety? And why does it feel like reputation is being monetized while accountability is nowhere to be found?
This is why we ask.
At Indian Creek School in Maryland, a serious student incident involving peer misconduct was quietly contained. A vulnerable student was allegedly humiliated and filmed without consent at a student-hosted event. The recording circulated among classmates, yet no formal investigation or outreach from authorities followed. When a concerned parent reported the matter, they were told it had been “handled internally.” That phrase, meant to reassure, instead became a chilling euphemism for institutional neglect.
The administrator who oversaw this response was Eliza McLaren, then Associate Head of School at ICS. According to multiple reports and court filings, McLaren allegedly chose not to escalate the matter to Child Protective Services or law enforcement—despite clear indicators of harm. Instead, she minimized the incident, suggesting that the student’s developmental challenges meant they may not have fully understood the abuse.
Shortly after, McLaren accepted a prestigious promotion: Head of School at The Wellington School in Columbus, Ohio. Her departure from ICS coincided with the suppression of this and other troubling allegations. She now faces ongoing litigation, including claims of retaliation against those who reported the incident and sought accountability.
This case is not just about one administrator—it’s about a system that rewards silence over integrity. When leaders prioritize career advancement over student safety, they betray the very mission of education.
The emotional toll of this failure was immense. Those close to the situation describe a young person battling despair and thoughts of self-harm, while peers tried to offer the compassion that the institution withheld.
Real leadership demands:
Immediate reporting of credible student-safety concerns
Transparent communication with families
A willingness to risk professional comfort to uphold ethical duty
Until schools confront misconduct head-on—and stop shielding those who enable it—students will continue to suffer in silence.
So again we ask:Does Indian Creek School have an OnlyFans?Because the way they’ve handled student safety looks a lot like image-first, accountability-last.And we’re still looking for the link.
